7th Annual American Indian/Alaska Native Education Summit
The Office of Indian Education under the Nevada Department of Education in partnership with the Center for Student Cultural Diversity will host a two day education summit that will focus on providing workshops to participants on building a foundation for success for American Indian/Alaska Native communities. Featured presenters include: First Lady Kathleen Sandoval, motivational speaker D.J. Vanas, and the National Indian Education Executive Director, Ahniwake Rose. Conference participants will also be able to participate in a fun walk and book drive benefitting the Early Head Start and Head Start programs across the state of Nevada.
