Argenta Concert Series: A Tale of Violins with Ani and Ida Kavafian

The Argenta Concert Series presents an opportunity to witness two legendary sister violinists, who have lived rich musical careers, share the stage. Violinist Ani Kavafian, a professor at Yale School of Music, enjoys a prolific career as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. She has performed with nearly all of America’s leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia and the Cleveland symphony orchestras. Her numerous solo recital engagements include performances at New York’s Carnegie and Alice Tully halls. Ida Kavafian, also an internationally acclaimed violinist, is a professor at the Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute, is an artist-member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and former violinist of the Beaux Arts Trio. The Kavafian sisters will present works by Mozart, Moszkowski and Dvorak in collaboration with pianist Hyeyeon Park and cellist Dmitri Atapine.
