Join us for the first of four total lunar eclipses of the Moon. The series is called a Tetrad which is four totall lunar eclipses spaced by six full Moons without partial lunar eclipses inbetween. There will be two in 2014 and two in 2015. The eclipse begins at 9:54 PM and ends at 3:38 AM with totality begining at Midnight. The event hosted by the Physics department will also offer telescopic views of Jupiter, Mars, and other obects during the evening. Tahoe Star Tours will supply astronomers for the event and viewing through Celestron telescopes.
