33rd Annual Nevada Writers Hall of Fame - The Virtual Version
Presented by the University Libraries, the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame 2020 is completely virtual, via Zoom.
All are welcome to join us Thursday evening, November 12th for the 33rd Annual Nevada Writers Hall of Fame, presented by the University Libraries and hosted by author, educator and Selection Committee Chair, Mark Maynard.
This year's celebration is virtual and free to attendees. Register online now.
Though we won’t be inducting any authors this year, even COVID can’t keep us from celebrating Nevada’s finest literary voices. We have a delightful evening planned with the piano musings of Robert Leonard Reid, a group performance of a new Gailmarie Pahmeier poem, Chris Coake sharing about his upcoming book as well as the Italian film based on his 2012 novel, You Came Back, and a visit from Waddie Mitchell. We’ll close out the evening with a musical performance by Hannah Branch and author Mike Branch straight from the University Libraries Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. As a bonus, you’ll learn to make a signature cocktail designed especially for the 2020 Nevada Writers Hall of Fame by Bently Heritage Estate Distillery mixologist, Lucas Huff. The event is free but you must register to receive the Zoom webinar information. We look forward to having you with us on November 12th!
