​ Simple machines are vital to everyday life. They make work easier and give people the ability to complete basic and complicated tasks in an efficient way. Studying simple machines helps young people learn more about what engineering is, what engineers do and how they use simple machines as tools to solve problems using the Engineering Design Process.
