4-H Mounted Horse Clinic
About this event
Washoe County 4-H Horse Leaders present the First 4-H Mounted Horse Clinic of 2019 All area 4-H Horse members are invited. Horseless kids are welcome, too!
Sign-in begins at 8 a.m. Clinic starts promptly at 9 a.m. 4-H attire* and ASTM-SEI approved equestrian helmets are required.
*White long-sleeve shirt, green tie or scarf, long pants or jeans and boots (no Fat Baby boots)
Opening presentation by the Nevada 4-H Horse Judging Team who went to Western National Roundup in Denver. Station rotations are:
- How to put in a winning ride in performance classes
- Gymkhana and Cattle - opportunities to practice: barrels, poles and some roping
- Equine Bingo - Display your winning knowledge of all things equine; including tack, feed, breeds etc.
