The Reynolds School of Journalism is pleased to welcome Dunia Elvir, president of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and news anchor at Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles, to campus for a conversation on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union Theatre.
Elvir will discuss her career as a bilingual journalist and discuss issues facing the media industry. Following the discussion, audience members will be invited to engage in a Q&A. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited and early arrival is recommended.
About Dunia Elvir:
Elvir is an award-winning journalist with more than three decades of experience spanning radio, print and television. Elvir began her career at Telemundo 52 in 1990, joined the Telemundo network in 2002, and returned to KVEA in 2008, where she served as a reporter and news anchor. Today she is a news anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 52 and a trusted face at Telemundo’s flagship West Coast station. Elvir was elected president of NAHJ in 2024.
