About this event
Cory King, Nevada Division of Forestry
Lyndsey Langsdale, Reno Food Systems
Cody Hussla, University of Nevada, Reno Extension
What is agroecology, why does it matter for small farms, and how can it be put into practice? In this
session, three experienced food producers share their approaches—ranging from windbreaks and
hedgerows to thoughtful plant selection, perennial pollinator habitats and more. Together, they illustrate
how building ecologically resilient farm landscapes can enhance productivity and strengthen the long-
term health of the farm ecosystem.
