Apex Concerts: Vers l'éternité
Apex Concerts, formerly the Argenta Concert Series, opens its seventh season with “Vers l’éternité” - a program tracing its path from the works of French romantics, through Debussy, Ravel and Poulenc, and culminating at the apex of French chamber music: the eternal “Quartet for the End of Time” by Olivier Messiaen. A true monument to human spirit and resilience in the face of agonizing adversities of World War II, this work will be performed, among others by the violin virtuoso Benjamin Beilman, the enchantress of the clarinet, Romie de Guise-Langlois, as well as distinguished University faculty members. Benjamin Beilman, violin; Romie DeGuise-Langlois, clarinet; Dmitri Atapine, cello; Hyeyeon Park, piano; James Winn, piano.
