Apollo 11 50th Anniversary
Fleischmann Planetarium and the Nevada Space Center present One Giant Leap, a day and evening of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11.
Activities at the Nevada Space Center (located at the National Automobile Museum) take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. These include special presentations, NASA Engagement Day, screening of the movie "Apollo 11" and viewing museum exhibits and interactive displays.
At 5 p.m., the event shifts location to Fleischmann Planetarium for movie showings and tours of the Mission Moon exhibit. The exhibit includes 30 activities. Moonlight Lounge closes the event with the music, culture and fashion of the 1960s.
