Black Men in White Coats Documentary Screening
UNR Med Admissions has teamed up with our Office of Diversity and Inclusion to offer a screening of the documentary, Black Men in White Coats. This documentary aims to dissect the systematic barriers preventing black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences on society at large. Attendees will be given a unique streaming code to use anytime between February 15th and February 17th. We will then be hosting a virtual discussion after the film on February 23rd from 6 – 7:30 PM facilitated by physicians from the community, current medical students, and UNR Med Faculty. Attendees must register in advance to receive their streaming link: https://tinyurl.com/BlackMenWhiteCoats.
This event is primarily for pre-med students. However, the creator of the documentary, Dr. Dale Okorodudu, has said that the content is appropriate for all age levels and is relevant to those outside of the medical field.
