Canada Hall Safe Trick or Treat

  • Brief overview of Safe Trick or Treat
    • Safe Trick or Treat is Canada Hall’s annual traditional program. It is where children (usually elementary aged, but all ages are welcome) are invited to Canada to partake in a safe environment to enjoy Halloween style festivities.  Activities include: games in the lobby, going trick or treating throughout every floor and getting candy from our residents, and carnival style games in the Nye/Canada Plaza where kids can have fun and also win candy. The idea is to provide a safe and fun Halloween experience for children who for whatever reason may not be able to experience Halloween (due to costs, unsafe environment, etc.).
  • Impact of program:
    • This program is an extremely large part of Canada Hall’s identity. As our traditional program, safe trick or treat has an established name with both our campus and the Reno-Sparks community. Given the usual large attendance, this program has the opportunity to impact the lives of many in our community by providing a safe and comfortable environment for children of all ages.
