Description /Learning Objectives
This 6-hour Clinical Supervision Refresher with problem gambling enhancements live webinar course is intended for existing Clinical Supervisors in Nevada seeking to renew their Supervision license. The course focuses on the concepts taught and standards discussed in the initial Clinical Supervision 12-hour training. Supervisors will practice skills to help shape the delivery of high quality, effective clinical services to those seeking assistance for substance use disorders and problem gambling. This training is aimed at furthering the skills for existing clinical supervisors to observe job performance, provide feedback and coaching, prioritize learning needs, develop achievable learning objectives, and continue monitoring performance to assess effectiveness. The course will also explore ethical scenarios as well as the Nevada State Board. of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, Gambling Counselors requirements.

Dr. Rory Reid holds a master's degree in social work and a doctorate degree in neu- ropsychology. After his post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at UCLA, he obtained post-doctoral education in clinical research with Harvard Medical School. He is a Research Psychologist with the UCLA Gambling Studies and has pub- lished research on gambling related issues in numerous scientific journals. Dr Reid is also a CPGC-S Certified Problem Gambling Supervisor in Nevada
Continuing Education Units: 6 CEUs
This course will satisfy the 6 CEU Clinical Supervision Requirement for the Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors. This course is also approved for continuing education by the boards listed here.
