 cracy?\n\nDrawing on his acclaimed scholarship on James Madison's vision f
 or the Bill of Rights and decades of advocacy on behalf of civil liberties
 \, Professor Neuborne will explore how the Constitution's guarantees of fr
 ee expression\, due process and equal protection continue to shape America
 n democracy. He will argue that the Supreme Court's interpretation of the 
 First Amendment has helped enable unchecked partisan gerrymandering and wi
 ll examine the consequences for democratic self-government. Neuborne will 
 also examine the enduring relationship between the Bill of Rights and the 
 Fourteenth Amendment and their relevance to some of today's most pressing 
 constitutional debates.\n\nThe program will be facilitated by Rick Trachok
