Crosstalk Gallery Exhibition by Karl Schwiesow

Meet us at the Tahoe Gallery at 5pm for Crosstalk a solo exhibition by Karl Schwiesow. There will be snacks and refreshments served. The artist lecture will take place on the 3rd floor of Prim Libary.

Karl Schwiesow is a visual artist and educator working in a variety of media. Based in central Washington and originally from Homer Alaska, he a craftsman, designer, and a re-arranger. His work is rooted in exploring and expanding the physical and associative characteristics of an object’s original intention and to invent and influence formulas which weave together imagery, materials, and concepts to re-frame meaning. Karl’s recent works includes a variety of large-scale abstract ceramic sculpture and painting relating to overconsumption and excess; and an ongoing roster found and altered objects of sport, labor, and leisure which conject the nuances of functional fixedness.
