A workshop for kids and adults to share together in a playful experience that explores the power of dance and music through game-like movement prompts. Facilitated by Ririe-Woodbury’s artistic director and dancers, in a low-pressure environment that is flexible based on individual needs — this class serves to uplift, inspire, and enlighten. Families and children of all ages and with all ranges of dance experience are encouraged to attend. At least one parent or guardian per family or group. Space is limited. This event is presented in partnership with Reno Little Theater, the School of the Arts’ Performing Arts Series at the University of Nevada, Reno and the David J. Drakulich Foundation for Freedom of Expression. About Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company: As Utah’s most established contemporary dance company, Ririe-Woodbury produces innovative and compelling work that challenges audiences’ perceptions of contemporary dance. Their repertory ranges from minimalist to multi-media dances that bring traditional and non-traditional spaces to life. On Thursday, October 14 they will be performing as part of the Performing Arts Series at the University of Nevada, Reno. For more information visit Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company.
