Organizational barriers to DEIA in research can impede even the best intentions and evidence-based practices. This session will focus on:

•    Identifying Barriers: Identify and recognize common organizational obstacles to DEIA, such as structural biases, resource allocation issues, and lack of diverse representation in leadership.
•    Strategies for Overcoming Barriers: What are effective strategies and best practices for addressing and dismantling these barriers to create a more equitable research environment? What is within our control and how can we best advocate for change?
•    Formulating Actionable Solutions: Develop high-priority action items, and short-, medium-, and long-term goals that reduce barriers for researchers and students.
