Discover Science Lecture Series: David Quammen

Science author and journalist David Quammen will give a lecture about the problems and dangers surrounding new viruses such as MERS, SARS, and Ebola that threaten global civilization. Quammen will discuss his travels for research for his book "Spillover," and his other travels when he was investigating the outbreak of Ebola for 'National Geographic.' He will also introduce common themes between the new viruses and other discussions of the impact from these recent outbreaks.
