About this event

The Discovering the World: Me, We, and our Planet curriculum provides opportunities for youth to develop life skills while using programs in Animal and Plant Sciences, Arts and Crafts, Healthy Lifestyles, and Chemical reactions. This program provides opportunities for participants to learn more about themselves and their fellow classmates through interactive instruction and teamwork activities. Participants will learn to recognize the different elements of health, mental and physical, and how to better them in their lives. ​

Program Goals:

-Increase participants' knowledge in the areas of STEAM  

-Promote social and emotional learning  

-Develop positive relationships with peers and communities 

-Increase knowledge of how to live a healthy life 

-Increase knowledge of mental health and state of mind

Open to youth ages 8-12. Please contact Hollywood Recreation Center to register.
