EPIC Lab: HS Teacher Professional Development (Civil Engineering Focus)

Join the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Engineering for a free, hands-on Professional Development (PD) workshop designed to empower K–12 teachers with real-world engineering practices, and meaningful connections to Nevada’s engineering community.
This engaging 4-hour PD session will focus on Civil Engineering, giving teachers a chance to:

Explore ready-to-use classroom activities

Engage in hands-on engineering challenges that model authentic problem-solving

Hear from UNR faculty and engineering students about pathways, careers, and current research

Tour cutting-edge laboratories to experience engineering in action

Receive a certificate and be awarded 4 PD hours towards licensure.
Whether you teach STEM, science, math, or simply want to integrate engineering thinking into your curriculum, this PD will provide tools, confidence, and inspiration to bring engineering to life for your students.
