Experience the Eclipse at the Planetarium

See the October 14 solar eclipse — LIVE! — at the Planetarium, starting at 8am. (Free parking available in the West Stadium Parking Garage.) Peep through safe professional-grade solar telescopes. Also, zoom in with our amazing new onsite robotic telescope. Make solar detection bracelets and participate in FREE hands-on crafts and activities.

Also, meet Dr. Melodi Rodrigue, an Astrophysicist who used NASA space telescopes to study the universe. She’ll be personally helping people get a fantastic view of the eclipse through UNR’s Physics Department telescopes.

After the free eclipse activities, discount tickets for new fulldome planetarium shows will be available to extend your adventures ever further — to infinity, and beyond!

Don’t miss this rare astronomical experience. We won’t see another annular eclipse from Reno for over 20 years!
