A Winter Solstice Event 5000 Years in the Making

Tour Newgrange in the Fleischmann Planetarium Dome

Built 5000 years ago, the entrance of Newgrange Passage Tomb is aligned with the rays of the rising sun on Winter Solstice, sending a beam of light into the innermost recess of the tomb.

Join us on December 11 at 7 p.m. as we use the dome to create a virtual 360° experience of the interior of Ireland's most famous archaeological monument, a World Heritage Site.

Our tour will be led--from Ireland--by Clare Tuffy, director emerita of the Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange) Visitor's Center.
