By Research and Innovation (VPRI)
About this event
You are invited to attend an informational meeting regarding the upcoming AFOSR Defense University Research Instrumentation Program (DURIP) opportunity.
DURIP provides funding for the acquisition of research equipment to support fundamental research in areas relevant to the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR). This program is designed to enhance university research capabilities, strengthen research infrastructure, and support the education of future scientists and engineers. Program officer Katie Wisecarver will provide an overview of the program, discuss proposal timelines and requirements, and answer questions about how to position your request effectively. A faculty panel of awardees will also join to share their experience with the awards. This is a valuable opportunity for faculty planning to submit instrumentation proposals aligned with AFOSR’s research priorities.Note that while AFOSR runs this program, both the respective Navy and Army offices also participate. Each branch has their own research areas of interest. Interested researchers should contact the specific program officers identified as the lead for each area to determine interest. ONR BAA,ONR technology and research areas; ARO BAA and research areas.
This meeting is brought to you by a multi-university research development group entitled FOCUS (Fostering Opportunities through Collaborative University Synergies). FOCUS is a collaborative effort between the University of Idaho, University of Nevada-Reno, Montana State University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Utah State University.
