fragments of remembering, or, the wordless voice of objects

Fragments of remembering, an art show taking place at UNR's Sheppard Gallery, represents Megan Winegardner's MFA Thesis Exhibition, a culmination of her graduate work in the University of Nevada Reno's Masters of Fine Arts program.  An artist talk will take place May 19th at 5:15 located in Church Fine Arts Room 153, with a reception to take place afterward around 7:00.

The show will feature a variety of sculptural works considering the tangibility of memory. A practice of collection constitutes the material foundation of the artist's practice, and allows her to examine the quiet residues left in the wake of lived experience. Though observing these traces she wishes to express the physical reality and faint, persistent presence of the past.
