High Brass Summit
About this event
Join us for UNR High Brass Summit (Trumpet and Horn Day)! Attend engaging presentations, participate in interactive masterclasses, learn about and try an alphorn or büchel, participate in a mass ensemble, and attend a featured artist recital, all while connecting with fellow high brass players!
Sunday, April 12, 2026 Trumpet and Horn Day: 12pm-5pm (check-in begins at 11:30am or 1:30pm for middle school students)
Artist Recital: 5:30pm, Hall Recital Hall (open to the public)
For: Middle School Students (later check-in), High School Students, University Students, Educators, Professionals, and Enthusiasts.
Featuring: Phil Snedecor, trumpet, Natalie B. Higgins, horn, Jonathan Bhatia, trumpet, The Sierra Alphorn Players
Participants must bring their own instruments. Observers do not need instruments. Check in begins at 11:30am outside of the University Arts Building, Hall Recital Hall, 2nd floor for High School Students, University Students, Educators, Professionals, and Enthusiasts. Check in begins at 2pm for Middle School Students.
This event is *FREE* however, registration is required.
