Holiday Sibshop 2021
Kids age 8-13, who have a brother or sister with a developmental disability, special health care needs, or mental health concerns are invited to our Sibshop to be held in-person, Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Kids will have a great time getting to know each other while playing games and participating in discussion activities about having a sibling with special needs. Register here: https://holidaysibshop.eventbrite.com
Goals of the Sibshop Project:
-Sibshops will provide brothers and sisters of children with special needs an opportunity to meet other siblings in a relaxed, recreational setting.
-Sibshops will provide brothers and sisters with opportunities to discuss common joy and concerns with other siblings of children with special needs.
-Sibshops will provide brothers and sisters with an opportunity to learn how others handle situations commonly experienced by siblings of children with special needs.
-Sibshops will provide siblings with an opportunity to learn more about the implications of their brother's and sister's special needs.
-Sibshops will provide parents and other professionals with opportunities to learn more about the concerns and opportunities frequently experienced by brothers and sisters of people with special needs.
