Honors College Alumni Chapter - Friendsgiving
About this event
The Honors College Alumni Chapter is partnering again with the Honors College Student Council and the Honor’s CAB to host the annual Friendsgiving Celebration. This event offers students a place to get together and celebrate the holiday season while also working to combat student hunger within the University community.
With a new year comes a new location, we will be hosting the event out of the Continuing Education Building this year, which means we have both more room and more mouths to feed.
If you are local in the area and available, please sign up to help hand out food. But you don't have to live in northern Nevada to help! Fill out the Sign Up Genius and set up a Walmart delivery order as done in years prior.
Here are some items not listed by the HCSC but will be appreciated based on last year's food and needs:
Extra turkey
Gravy; both chicken and turkey (who wants dry birds?!!!)
Canned Corn/greens of a form
Rolls (Hawaiian rolls have worked in the past)
Apple juice jugs (or individual)
Cranberry juice
Cool Whip (for the pies)
Any vegetarian options; we have a growing number of students who would like vegetarian options as well
- e will help as best we can!
Cheers, and happy holidays!!!
