Journalism and the Self-Informing Public

Monica GuzmanSeattle Times journalist and GeekWire columnist, will present “Journalism and the Self-Informing Public” on Wednesday, March 5, at 4 p.m. in Studio A.

In her talk Monica will discuss what happens to journalism when anyone, at any moment, can be a journalist? She will use case studies and other observations to examine the changing, fluid relationship between journalists, sources and a newly self-informing public. She will also talk with attendees about developing a brand identity for journalists. Monica’s talk is part of the Center for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) speaker series.
