KIRA: A Fulldome Adventure

Experience one of the most advanced planetarium experiences ever produced — a science-based adventure story set in an imagined future where humanity is grappling with issues from A.I. and climate change to fake news and a shortage of basic resources.

In addition to high-tech visuals and high-energy action sequences, KIRA immerses audiences in science and social issues — and a story full of twists and turns which encourage participants to explore topics of vital importance to the future of humanity.

KIRA was commissioned by the International Planetarium Society to set a new benchmark as a cinematic movie developed specifically for fulldome screens in celebration of 100 years of the Planetarium worldwide.

Scientists and artists crafted the experience using cutting-edge tools, software, and technology, including the gaming software Unreal Engine 5, which allows for realistic, detailed environments, characters, and objects, and MetaHuman Animator, a brand-new performance-capture capability.

All of this amounts to a show that is definitely different, daring and highly engaging.
