University Libraries at the University of Nevada, Reno and the DeLaMare Science and Engineering Library is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibit “Leave it Better”  on display in the hallway of the DeLaMare library. It is free and open to the public.

The exhibit features artist Eric Rios who uses photography to explore human and animal experience in a changing landscape. Sensitive to pollution, Ríos’s work has been influenced by his time spent in nature seeking refuge from the smog of the city, and his longing to protect this sanctuary. An avid swimmer, Eric can be found paddling through Lake Tahoe religiously during the warmer months - a transformative experience that has also informed his work.

The exhibit Leave it Better: enjoy nature, and leave it better, so others can too, will open with a talk by the artist, Eric Rios in the Lilli Brant Reading Room 301 at 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in which he will discuss how his work serves to communicate the issue of human-driven pollution within the Tahoe Basin and Truckee Meadows watershed.
