Little Books & Little Cooks

This six week parenting education program is designed to teach healthy eating and nutrition to preschool children (ages 3-5) and their parents while developing positive parent-child interaction through reading and cooking together.  The program promotes healthy eating, family literacy, school readiness skills, and positive-parent child interaction.

Each weekly session includes a min-lesson, story time and cooking activity for both parents and their preschoolers.

Topics Include: Introduction and Safety: Five Food Groups: Cooking with Kids: Introducing cultural Foods: Feeding and Hunger and Fullness: Picky Eating: and Fruits and Vegetables.

 

Free and open to the public, however registration is required.  Families are expected to attend all six sessions.
