About this Event
Little Books & Little Cooks is a six-week program designed for families with children 3- to 5-years-old. The program promotes healthy eating, family literacy and positive parent-child interaction. In each hour-long workshop, the program features a children’s book and recipes, and families participate in a cooking activity together.
Families learn about:
- Food safety
- MyPlate and the 5 food groups
- The benefits of cooking with children
- Helpful tips for picky eaters
- The importance of fruits and vegetables
- The Hungry Meter
- Foods from other cultures
