Little Books Little Cooks (10:00am)
Is a 6-week program designed for families with preschoolers of ages 3-5 years old to promote healthy eating, family literacy, and positive parent-child interaction.
Each week features a children’s book, recipes and families participate in a cooking activity together.
Families will learn about:
- Food safety for families.
- MyPlate and the 5 food groups.
- Benefits of cooking with children.
- Helpful tips for picky eaters.
- Importance of fruits and vegetables.
- The Hungry Meter.
- Foods from other cultures.
Duration: 1hour - (10a.m. - 11a.m.)
