Manuscript Accepted! is a one-day symposium for University graduate students and faculty to help successfully navigate scholarly publishing and get their work published. The event is free to attend thanks to generous donations by our sponsors: Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, and the University of Nevada Press.
The event will feature one keynote speaker, two panels and two workshop sessions with a total of four workshop options available. The keynote will be given by Reynolds School of Journalism Professor of Science Communication Kathleen Masterson. She will discuss how to best communicate your research to the public. Panels of University faculty with experience in journal editing and peer reviewing will also be offered.
Workshop topics include: Networking with and finding potential collaborators, managing your time on a budget, building your online scholarly profile to help promote your work, and finding a journal to publish in.
All events will take place in the Joe Crowley Student Union Great Room, Good Room, and Ballroom located on the fourth floor.
