Nevada Heat Treating – Current Applications and Future Trends

Nevada Heat Treating has supported the manufacturing industries of Northern Nevada, Northern California and surrounding areas for over 15 years.  Originally created in 2002, Nevada Heat Treating is AS9100D and Nadcap accredited.  Nevada Heat Treating is proud to serve the tool and die, aerospace, defense, transportation and automotive industries.  Nevada Heat Treating has several capabilities, including Aluminum Heat Treating, Age Hardening, Atmosphere Heat Treating, Case Hardening, Stress Relieving, Vacuum Heat Treating and Vacuum Furnace Brazing.  Our two high-temperature vacuum furnaces, two controlled atmosphere furnaces, one aluminum drop-bottom furnace, six air temper/age furnaces and three cryogenic freezers create real heat treating capabilities.  As the aerospace, defense and related industries continue to grow, Nevada Heat Treating will be there to meet the needs of our customers, both nationally and internationally.  We have a combined accumulation of over 100 years of metallurgical expertise and experience, and we are committed to high quality service, quick turnaround and delivery to our customers. 

Mark Quattrin – General Manager – holds a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from California State University, Fresno.  Mark spent 28 years in metal casting and forging industries in support of the aerospace industry. Previously, Mark has held general manager roles for aerospace manufacturers Precision Castparts Corporation (San Leandro, CA, and Carson City, NV) and Arconic Rings (Verdi, NV).   Mark joined Nevada Heat Treating in August, 2019.

Michael Mohorich – Quality Manager – holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.  Michael has engineering experience in different industries, including civil engineering, nuclear materials and metals.  Michael joined Nevada Heat Treating in April, 2011, as a Quality Engineer, and has been the Quality Manager at Nevada Heat Treating since October, 2012.  Michael was instrumental in upgrading NHT’s Quality Management System from ISO 9001 to AS9100.  Additionally, Michael has worked feverishly to maintain and upgrade NHT’s Nadcap accreditation
