Join East Fork Fire and the Living With Fire program for coffee & donuts, conversation, and a hands-on look at mastication, one of the tools in the toolbox for reducing wildfire risk. Mastication is a mechanical fuel reduction technique that uses specialized equipment to grind or shred vegetation. This mastication demonstration aims to educate community members, landowners, fire professionals, and local decision-makers about the role of mastication in hazardous fuels reduction and wildfire risk mitigation.
