Join us for a Nevada premiere of NASA’s "Cosmic Dawn" documentary under the stars, meet the director James Tralie for a LIVE introduction and see the stars for yourself….
This event will take place at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe's outdoor amphitheater. Please bring blankets, outdoor chairs and snacks!
For over three decades, NASA and an international team of scientists and engineers pushed the limits of technology, innovation, and perseverance to build and launch the James Webb Space Telescope, the most powerful space observatory ever created."Cosmic Dawn" brings audiences behind the scenes with the Webb film crew, and never-before-heard testimonies revealing the real story of how this telescope overcame all odds.
Now you can see a Nevada premiere of the film — and meet the director in person!NASA+ Director James Tralie will introduce the film and take questions about the world’s most advanced space-based telescope.Then, participate in an exclusive stargazing session with some of the most advanced astrograph telescopes ever made for amateur astronomers. Weather permitting, we’ll focus on nebulae, globular clusters and galaxies. We’ll beam the images live to a screen and airdrop copies to your iPhone as a souvenir of our explorations.Discover the Universe with the Fleischmann Planetarium and NASA-based tech like never before as we continue to “reach for the stars!”
