Naseem Jamnia's Public Reading: The Bruising of Qilwa

Former neuroscientist, Naseem Jamnia graduated from UNR’s MFA Creative Writing Program in spring 2021, with a Certificate in Gender, Race, and Identity. Now, they have published a queer fantasy novella, The Bruising of Qilwa (2022), which features a nonbinary protagonist and thematizes atrocity, forced displacement, blood magic, and medical mystery.
