Native Plant and Pollinator Gardening Workshop and Plant Giveaway

Pollinators like native bees are crucial for helping produce the fruits and vegetables we grow and eat in Nevada. But it’s not just bees and butterflies-  wasps and flies also visit native flowers, and they provide another important service as pest control of many farm and garden insect pests. This workshop will cover local pollinator diversity and ecology, review common native plants and how to garden for pollinators, and end with a short hands-on demonstration planting native pollinator seedlings at the Lost City Museum.  At the end, you’ll be given free native pollinator seedlings adapted for your area!
