New Hire Benefits Orientation
Welcome to the University of Nevada, Reno! In addition to our comprehensive online Benefits Orientation, we regularly offer this in-person session to benefits-eligible employees who have not yet enrolled.
In this session, we provide employees with an overview of the health, retirement, and other benefits available to them as employees of the University. Our in-person orientation is generally offered twice a month and is approximately two hours in length. At the end of each session, employees will have an opportunity to complete the benefits forms necessary to enroll themselves and eligible family members.*
*If planning to add a dependent child under the age of 26, please bring their birth certificate and SSN. If planning to add your spouse / domestic partner, please bring their DOB and SSN, and your Marriage Certificate / Certificate of Registered Domestic Partnership.
As space is limited, employees are required to register in advance through the Training Calendar. This Benefits Orientation is intended for benefits eligible employees (Faculty, Classified, Postdoctoral Scholars, and Letter of Appointment Contracts who are working more than part time).
If you are unsure if you are eligible for benefits, please contact your hiring division’s administrative assistant. For all other questions about this session, please email us at email@example.com.
Graduate students and assistants who are interested in learning more about their benefits should see the Graduate School’s Mandatory Health Insurance page.
