About this event

In support of our LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, staff, families and communities, the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, Renown Health and the Orvis School of Nursing are proud to partner up and sponsor Northern Nevada Pride on Saturday, Sept. 7. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in Downtown Reno. The festival will be held at Wingfield Park until 6 p.m. This year, we’re looking for volunteers to join the parade, assist with the festival and serve as medical volunteers.

We are seeking volunteers to help us with:
•    Marching in the parade
•    Staffing our booths at the festival
o    The UNR Med, Renown and Orvis booths will be next to one another.
•    Providing clinical services to attendees (as a student or a preceptor)
o    Blood pressure checks
o    Mental health screenings
o    Smoking cessation resources
•    Setting up and cleaning up our festival booth area
•    Decorating for Pride the day before
