Set sail for laughter, romance, and spirited song in H.M.S. Pinafore, the beloved comic operetta by W.S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan. This classic two-act operetta tells the tale of love and social satire.
A humble sailor, Ralph Rackstraw, is hopelessly in love with Josephine, the captain’s daughter, but her father Captain Corcoran has arranged for her to marry the pompous Sir Joseph Porter KCB, First Lord of the Admiralty! The story navigates forbidden romance, class differences, and delightful misunderstandings, leading to the joyous conclusion that love can be found on any platform.

*To be able to attend with a discounted price, students and educators must show a valid school/university ID upon entering the event venue.
Parking is free on arts-events evenings (after 7 p.m.) in the Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex, which is north of the Church Fine Arts Building and south of Lawlor Events Center.
An ADA accessible drop-off zone is located at the Virginia Street entrance to the Church Fine Arts building.
