Optical Society of America Fall Vision Meeting 2018
The University of Nevada, Reno’s Institute for Neuroscience and Center for Integrative Neurosciences will host the Optical Society of America Fall Vision Meeting 2018, with sessions and activities taking place on campus in the Joe Crowley Student Union and Davidson Math and Science Center. More than 200 renowned faculty and researchers from across the country will participate in this event. The OSA Fall Vision Meeting is a single-track, high-quality scientific conference focused on all aspects of the visual system. This year's meeting includes several invited symposia, three contributed talk sessions, and contributed poster presentations, and participants will have the opportunity to join excursions to Lake Tahoe and Virginia City.
As a precursor to the conference, free guest lectures will be featured Thursday, Sept. 20, 2-4 p.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union Theatre. Supported by the University’s Integrative Neuroscience COBRE grant, these lectures are open to OSA Fall Vision Meeting participants as well as to University faculty, staff and students. The lectures feature leading visual-system experts Lynne Kiorpes (NYU), Colin Clifford (UNSW), and Irv Biederman (USC).
