About this event
Learn the fundamentals of creating accessible PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to evaluate PDF accessibility, use Acrobat's accessibility tools and reading views, run accessibility checks, and remediate common issues through proper document tagging. The session will also introduce more complex accessibility challenges and best practices for addressing them.
Prerequisite: Participants should have a foundational understanding of web accessibility and are encouraged to complete the Basic Web Accessibility (BWA) training before attending this workshop.
Software Requirement: Participants must have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro installed, as this is not a computer lab session. Adobe Acrobat Pro is included with Adobe Creative Cloud for Education, which can be requested through the UNR OIT Adobe Creative Cloud request process.
If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed before the training, we recommend rescheduling for a future session. You are also welcome to attend the session to observe and then participate in a future offering once you have access to the software.
Scheduling Note: If the available training times conflict with your schedule, please email tlt@unr.edu to arrange a one-on-one training session.
