Project ECHO NAVIGATE Health and Wellness
This Project ECHO program will provide expert consultation around the integration of physical wellness with psychiatric treatment. Studies indicate that the chronically mentally ill develop more medical problems and receive less medical treatment for physical problems than those without chronic psychiatric illness. The FEP program is a unique opportunity to work with young people who have early-stage mental illness in order to provide health prevention and education to these individuals before they develop co-occurring, chronic medical problems. The "Hub" expert team will represent the disciplines of adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, primary care and health psychology.
