Promoting Social Emotional Development of Young Children-Classroom Management
About this event
Part of the Early Childhood Workforce Development program this training focuses on teaching educators how to support children's social, emotional, and behavioral development in a constructive and respectful way. Positive guidance emphasizes the use of proactive strategies to encourage appropriate behaviors and prevent misbehavior. Instead of focusing on punishment, this approach involves setting clear expectations, offering choices, and using positive reinforcement techniques to guide children towards self-regulation and increased social skills.
The Early Childhood Workforce Training is offered to early childhood providers for the purpose of meeting the annual Nevada State Early Childhood training requirements. Employees must complete a minimum of 24 hours of training annually to continue employment in a licensed child care center or home care.
This training is just one of a variety of research-based training topics that are pesented by the Workforce development training team. All training courses are approved by the Nevada Registry.
