Artown event: Reused + Recycled = Art

An extensive exhibit and official Artown event of artworks made of 80% reused or recyled materials that have been curated and selected from more than 200 entries.

The art submissions came from throughout the community including local artists, University of Nevada, Reno art students and Washoe County high school art students.

The exhibit will also feature the traveling art show of Bonnie Monteleone, a plastic marine debris researcher from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and accomplished artist who turns the plastic she collects on her ocean voyages into modern artistic masterpieces.

This is the signature event of the Summer of Sustainability on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
