Sanford Center for Aging is offering a free four-part series that will delve into topics that enhance age and ability-friendly care including dementia care, health literacy, ageism, effective communication and multi-complexity with a focus on improving healthcare delivery and patient engagement. Four dates:

 

February 18, 2025 | 12-1 p.m. – Excellence in Dementia Care: Positive Approaches to Support Patients Living with Dementia

March 18, 2025 | 12-1 p.m. – Reducing Ageism and Supporting Patient Engagement through Health Literacy

April 15, 2025 | 12-1 p.m. – Words that Heal: Enhancing Communication in Patient Care

May 20, 2025 | 12-1 p.m. – Multi-Complexity: The 5thM in Age-Friendly Care

 

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

This series submitted by NGEC for a total of 4.0 CEUs for the series, one CEU for each session, to Nevada state boards for:

•  Long Term Care Administrators

•  Nurses

•  Social Workers

Attendance and completion of program evaluation within 7 days of each session is required to receive credit. NGEC continuing education and Zoom policies can be found at Sanford policies.

 

Continuing Medical Education

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the New Mexico Medical Society (NMMS) through the Joint Providership of Comagine Health, UNLV and UNR. Comagine Health is accredited by the NMMS to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians and designates this Recurring Scheduled Series for a maximum of 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
