Shooting Sports Projects S.T.E.M Connections
Extend your shooting sports horizon and learn the exciting science behind it!
About this Event
The 4-H Shooting Sports program is an excellent example of how science, technology, engineering, and math (S.T.E.M.) are part of 4-H projects. Introduces youth to the physics of shooting sports through hands-on S.T.E.M. activities.
Through hands-on activities, youth are led to the principles of shooting sports’ physics-- gravity, momentum, the path of a projectile, and energy. Open-ended discussion questions at the end of each activity build critical thinking and problem-solving skills and help youth relate the training to shooting sports and applying what they have learned. You don’t have to be an expert in physics to have fun! This can also be an extension of your shooting sports project in your 4-H record book. 4-H Shooting Sports S.T.E.M. Connections Certificates will be given at the end of the course. Anyone can join!
This workshop is open to youth ages 9 and up, spaces are limited so sign up ASAP.
