The Student Nutrition Advisory Council (SNAC) is the result of a collaboration among Extension 4-H and SNAP-Ed programs, as well as the Clark County School District (CCSD). The SNAC is an actual 4-H Club that meets after school and is designed to provide 4th and 5th-grade students with opportunities to learn about healthy living and develop leadership skills. Students from schools that are ethnically and racially diverse lead the SNAC club meetings and choose wellness topics to learn about, such as physical activity, healthy living, cooking, nutrition, and public speaking. The SNAC members also complete a number of projects to enhance the school's wellness environment. Youth-adult partnerships are essential to developing these skills around healthy living.

This program is closed to the public, however, if you are interested in bringing a program like this one to your site, feel free to email the 4-H team at cc4-h@unr.edu.
